1978 K5 LS/NV4500

That is a lot of red. I'm jealous and also curious to hear how much all that insulation and carpet compares to your rubber-floored K5 in terms of road noise and heat.

Man, that carpet is beautiful, so smooth. It's perfect.

Not sure? It held on by 4 bolts.

That bolt on shift tower allows you bolt on an aftermarket short throw shifter. I'm running one from Core Shifters and it feels a lot more muscle car like than truck like. It seems price has literally doubled since I bought mine in like 2012 but I guess that's the world we live in.

I had a custom trim ring made and used Lokar vinyl shift boots.

I’m trying to find an oem looking one with the shift pattern on it. Hard to find.

You find one let me know. I’d like one too. Closest I’ve found is from Core Shifters for the 208 as it’s the same pattern. Problem is it’s more like the hurst shift knob shown with the core shifter.

What would the stock NP208 knob look like? Surely somebody is selling the style you want.

I think most 208/241 shift knobs are blank because the gear locations are clearly marked with an indicator on the big shift bezel.

Mine is blank. But on my search some jeep 231 and 241 knobs have the same pattern. I don’t know if they have the same thread pitch for the shift rod.

What I have. I’ve seen ones that look different but oem with orange and white and the shift pattern like zoomad said. I used to have a 205 one on my 78 k10. I’ll see if I can find a pic. Or maybe Chevy305 has a better pic.
