Wanted to update a few of the parts I've got on the way as well as my next set of shopping lists.
Want to get at least most of this stuff done by end of September. It looks like September 28th weekend is when we will be going to the sierras.

So parts already on the way
Dual battery kit, (already have the tray and second optima)
Tube for square front shaft
Spray paint to make all one color (wife's project not mine )
2 new fire extinguishers to make use of my mounts from diy4x
A few spare Ujoints,strap, and ubolt kits to carry in the truck, which would've been helpful since on Sunday I dropped one of the caps in the dirt which is why it got tied up instead of reinstalled
Full new body mount set.
New starter

I think there are some more but I can't remember it all right now

The things on my current shopping list

Full set of gauges from ion
NP241 tcase (having a hard time finding one)
Gonna order a custom bench from PRP.
I like being able to keep 3 people in the truck, but the bench now is saggy in the center but firm on the sides, ends up putting my back at a funny angle and making my scoliosis act up so that's gotta go. But it's a lower down priority.
Probably gonna get the th400 rebuilt sometime soon , maybe when I pull the tcase.

Other than that everything is really working out perfectly for us. Couldn't be happier with it so far
 
Two more things I forgot.

I want to get a new steering wheel. This one is too big and flimsy.

And my wife was having a hard time getting in, and I was having a hard time getting in without using the steering wheel as a handle which I hate doing

Just ordered the full compliment from ion.
Got a full set of ultra lite 2's coming plus a trans temp gauge with dash & harness. Hatchachacha
 
Also ordered a passenger drop 32 spline input mechanical speedo np241
I'm gonna try to rebuild the th400 while I'm in there and that'll be done.

Wow! Where did you find that one? That one is not very common at all. That should be a good setup. I have a 700r4 with a NP241 that I swapped in a JBConversions SYE kit on. I like the set up a lot. I need to build a better skit plate than the factory one so that aluminum case has a bit more protection, but other than that I love it. I felt really lucky cause I was just cruzin craigslist and found a dude with a mech speedo 241 that I bought off him for $80 :woot:

Put a want ad on ck5 and got lucky. Paid dearly for it. And what's ironic is I don't even need the cable speedo. The gauges I'm getting use a GPS input so need but I did need the 32 spline pass drop so ill keep it. I'm also gonna go sye later on but I like that for right now it's a drop in unit. Right now I'm just worried about fixing the driveshaft. That's what messed up my 208 was bottoming out the driveshaft
 
So no progress was made over the past few days as I've been back in Nebraska visiting family. My moms bday was Saturday so we flew in on a secret flight and surprised her at dinner. Was really fun. Got to see all my family and catch up which was nice cuz it's been a few years.
Well at the airport ready to come home now and I know ok gonna have a shmorgasborg of parts to work on in the upcoming weeks.

All of this leads up to a slick rock trip at the end of September. And if we are lucky a hollister trip before that.
 
Your dash is shipping today with the gauges and the wiring and all the fun **** that goes with it. I also threw in a few extra "diagrams" for you to study when you get it.

I don't know whether I should be excited that I got extra wiring diagrams cuz I need all the electrical help I can get...

or be terrified that it is not actually useful diagrams and something else that should terrify me.
