New dash panel including a spot for the trans temp gauge.
Went with ultra lite 2s. Led design

Also sprung for the GPS option for the speedo. No need to hookup to the tcase for accurate speedo readings meaning tire or gear changes don't make a difference.

Closer look at the face

Silver during the day and black face with shine thru numbers when lit up

Sweetness. Gonna try and get these in either this weekend or next.

Doing something not necessarily that needs to be done. But just to get the parts off my table.
Drivers side battery tray. Cleaned and blasted at work.
Ruffstuff optima tray welded on top. Bolted in to drivers fender.
Got the second yellow top mounted. Ill do the wiring later as its not in my way right now. Tomoro I need to pressure wash the balls off it and find where my steering leak is coming from. As well as maybe get some trimming done

wow the dash looks nice man!, the bat tray turned out great!
thanks. I had to drill one hole in the inner fender to bolt to and the top two bolts dropped right in to existing holes. i might start pulling the dash this weekend, hopefully its not too hard since this column isn't a tilt version like my old one.

I love this truck!

Thanks!

So today I worked on a few things before it got hot.
For the fenders trimmed back as far as I'm going to go. Hopefully it's enough and I believe it will be. Anyfurther and ill just lower the bumpstops and limit Travel.

Started working on my spare tire mount. Gonna use some angle iron off the bed side, piece of left over tube tied to the spare tire mount plate I got from diy4x a while back. It's not super sturdy, but there's not really a great way to make one clean as well as low profile and be strong. So I'm gonna set it up where the tire will rest on the bed floor and just use the plate to secure it. We will see how it goes. If/when it fails I can always strap the bastard down to the bed floor!

Got this little project finished. Except that when I went to bolt on the tire, realized that the bolts sticking out, hit the sidewall and there isn't enough room to go between the tire /bolts/ and tool box on the other side, so I just cut them off. Ill grab new bolts in the am and have to leave them loose.

Fixed the cb issues I am having
Don't remember if I posted this but the last antenna was on a magnet mount on the cab, driving under trees it would bust loose pivot on the cord and come thru the window and smack the wife upside the face.
While it was hilarious for me, she quickly grew tired of it.
Mounted up a new whip in the bed.

You can also see the top of my new powertank co2 tank bracket. The one I got from polypro was similar to a forklift style and it only had one strap for the 15lb tank. Really didn't exude strength and security. I sprung for this one when I got the powertank regulator kit.
Has better style of clamps as well as two instead of 1. Got that put in yesterday.

Also added an external speaker for the cb bcuz I'm half deaf, and a pa speaker under the good because my wife likes to yell at people.

Lastly, got the driveshafts out, tcase and trans drained and am working on finishing up the tcase removal. Gonna get the 241 popped up sometime this week

Ok.

1. I thought I mentioned this but not sure.
Got the auto meter speedo shipped off to automate this week so they can program the Od for me. I want to keep the correct mileage displayed on the new setup. $25 and some shipping and they programmed it up. I should get it back next week.

Also this afternoon with the help of a tubby buddy, got the 208 out, 241 in. Rear shaft and shifter all back in. I dropped the trans pan to fix a leak. Gotta grab a new filter and ill get that buttoned up with my new trans pan in the morning. (Derale pan is to solve a leak caused by a drilled in double but type drain plug. Plus I need a temp port for the trans gauge.

Other than that I am going to see Isaam on Saturday and Sunday I hope to get my front shaft all sorted out and square tubed up. Than its pack for the slick rock!

Make sure to take and post pics of the square shaft. I'm building mine next weekend.

Also, on that tire carrier. Just a thought, but it would be cool to have used wheel studs. As spares you know. I carry spares, but that would be a cool spot to carry them.

Looking good bud!!!

I actually thought of that and was the original plan. But after how it worked out with the width it wouldn't have worked anyway. They'd have stuck out too far to allow the wheel to roll passed the tool box.

Sorry to burst your large bubble (lol)
Most of my friends are grande sized. Fat people are jolly-er.

Woohoo yeah for the most part!

Also Auto meter charges for that speedo crap? it used to be that they did it for free because of federal law.

It was $25 bones for the fee. Plus the ride. Which is still good enough for me. I'd a paid a hundo to have it match
