1981 K20

6" lift. 3/4 ton axles.
I'm selling a pair of Deaver front spring packs (G31 as sold by Dixon Bros Racing). These have 10 thin leaves, are stock length, and will give you approximately 6" of lift.

just bought those. should have them this week

also, ordered one of TNA's new run of winch cradles. i'm hoping i also get that this week.

today i got my draglink on
installed the longer stainless rear brake drop line
bled the brakes
burped the steering box

and realized that i DEFINITLY need hydro assist.
she aint turning for nothing.
i'm hoping its just because i'm low on fluid but i dont have my hopes up. so i may or may not at this point make my big wheeling trip on memorial day weekend.
we'll see how things pan out.

Got my springs today. Look nice.
Got my winch cradle installed. Looks solid. Super tight to the truck.

Also did a trade and got a smittybilt XRC10 today.
Lastly. Welded my ruffstuff optima tray to the stock battery tray. Gave me a nice tight mounting spot for my new yellow top.

Kind of a pita to get it all in there. And had to switch aroun some wire since I moved the control box further away than is designed. Overall really happy with the bumper. Makes for a pretty sturdy little package.

Ordered up a new tire last. Going to take the worst of the bunch and move it to spare and put the new one on.

Question time. Is there any one else out there that makes a hydro assist kit as good as psc?

Currently just planning to get a whole psc package but if there someone out there comparable I'd be willing to look into it. I checked in to Howe but it looks like all of their stuff is full hydro? Either that or their website sucks.

Any other ideas?

Got a little work done this weekend.
Put in a new stereo.
Kenwood deck
A kicker amp I've had for a while
And some kicker speakers mounted behind the bench.
Next thing to do us clean up the wiring a bit and wire up the cb while waiting for the hydro funds.

Decided I'm going with a full psc setup. I also have a few other parts to order so I'm just going to do a big ORD order in the next week or two

I know the PSC kit is really nice that it has everything you need in one shot, and they use high quality stuff, but that stuff seems way too expensive to me. Have you ever looked into a DIY setup? That is what I am doing right now and I will be less than $300 into it by the time I'm done (ordered most of my stuff like the ram, lines, and fittings from surpluscenter.com). Just saying, in our hobby, going cheap goes a long way...especially when you are just gonna go break it later. Sweet build btw...keep it up :waytogo:

Yeah doing it piece meal was always my plan before. But based on running 40s plus street driving. I want to make sure I have the best as far as power and speed to keep up with street driving. On my last truck I cut corners and more often than not redid the work. I'm willing to spend a bit more the first to do it once and have it for the life if the axle. Realistically when I kill this just ill just unbolt the axle with hydro and move it to another rig.

Picked up my tool box yesterday. The tire is just sitting there. Gotta work on that after I get it mounted.

Unfortunately after mounting it this way I see that the co2 bracket requires the tire to not be there to install or remove the tank so I'm going to have to move some stuff around.

Got my cb installed and cleaned up the wiring on the stereo a bit more.
Cleaned up and painted the factory air box. Taking the stupid one off once I get a new factory air filter.

How much was that box? I'm looking for one to put in my truck but don't wanna take up too much room

$199. It's the 37" box from tsc. They have bigger but that's as wide as I could go and keep enough room.
