Did you buy a weatherpack kit?
Yes. $95 off amazon. I really wanted a nicer more comprehensive kit. But I also wanted to get moving and not just sit here waiting to buy tools. Plus the good crimper with the other kit wouldn’t do 12ga which I really wanted to have. It’s tedious to do this wiring stuff but I’m actually really liking it so far.

Good to know,I have that same kit waiting in my Amazon cart. I think I will buy the better one.
Nice sandals freiburger.

I just have a plain old crimper for weatherpack and you just have to be gentle with it and it can do any ones I've come across. This is my work one but the snap on/bluepoint I have at home is the same. 15671894568521623833722.jpg

I wear flips all summer too, must be a CA thing :flipoff7:
never looked at his profile? Says Nebraska..... All I wear is sandals from June until October. Except work. I haven't found any steel toe sandals yet. Although I wear slides because no man should have anything between his toes.

That was what I was gonna get but I wanted one that crimped the seal and the terminal simultaneously.

Yup. But technically I moved to California from Nebraska so it’s all over the map.

Also, agree about the slides. If you’re gonna be that gahey might as well wear some Birkenstock’s.

Another thing I just realized. I put the first weatherpack son the end of the factory pigtails. Why the **** did I do that. The pigtails unclip from the fan. I could’ve just ran the wire from the pigtail direct to where it’s goibg. I’m an idiot.
I got so hung up on needing to do it right with the new stuff that I didn’t think it thru very far.
I’m not gonna complain because it’s good to learn, but more connections equal more chance of failure. And those connectors are expensive. What a mook.

What's a Birkenstock?
I moved the sandal conversation to the random thought thread to not murk up your build

So after a day of using this kit, I’d say the biggest thing with it is that you burn thru the parts pretty quick. I’m already out of single and 3 wire connectors.
It’s a 220 pc kit but bare minimum each connection uses 6 pieces, more wires use even more so it goes quick.

I was also was wondering that. I bought the ez wiring harness for my stepside. But I think I might use it on my dump truck. Regardless , I have 2 trucks to do that I'm putting off big time.

Also imafter looking one set of wires with a fish tape yesterday, I definitely want these when I start wrapping up this job.

More pictures cuz small progress.
Plus side to my weatherpack crumpets is they work on the little shitty terminals that came with my fuse block kit. Gonna try to get this wired up.

Passenger battery will go to the starter and will have the fitech, fuel pump, and both electric fans thru the fuse block/relays.
All the other BS will come off the drivers battery.

Feels like backwards progress looking at the pile. But it just cuz there is 10lbs if shit in a 5 lb sack.

Fuel pump relay wiring is completely done. Taking the fuel pump power from the fitech and using it to trigger the fuel pump relay instead of going direct. Seemed like a good use of my time.

It feels like it’s a lot of shit jumbled in there but I’m happy with the progress. Got the two electric fans, fuel pump and the 12v switched bussbar on relays.
Need to get some relays and some split room then can start finalizing stuff and locking it into position.

Also thinking about putting some weatherpack connectors from the harness feeds going to the fuse block. That way it’s easier to take apart if I need to. It sucks doing all this stuff leaned into the inner fender

Also had to quit early last night to hang out with the wife. Killed a 1.5L bottle of wine by myself.
Drank more than a geo metro.

@beags86 happy now?
Had to hit em with the wire wheel, self etch and some cheapo shiny black. Followed up with some clear. Hopefully they stay looking decent for a while.

Lol yeah I included the calendar just to see your smartass comment. I easily could’ve kept it out. But where’s the fun in that.

Loom looks good.
But that's a goofy way to spell quadrajet?
What version is that again?
