I need to fix my spare front drive shaft that is my main front drive shaft becuase my spare is to long... ps i want your blazer

Hmmm. What setup is your front shaft? Mine is too short for my setup. Especially when I move the axle forward. Maybe you could use mine

Ill just take my spare to south bay drive line and have him give me the correct u joint for it and ask him to shorten the one on my truck right now.

how short do you need it to be?
mine is 22.5" long fully collapsed.
that is the tube only, from where the tube meets the yoke to where the tube meets the cv...

Got my pass slider fully welded on yesterday so those are done. Been driving it around more and more.

The tsl's tried to eat my tree.
Today I'm working on putting my front spring hangers in from kert.
Have I mentioned that rivets are the debil. It never bothered me before when I had my torch setup. But I'm outta juice so im doing the grinder way. Yuk

Just so you know. I dont speak for anyone else but Im fallowing your build closely! I just dont contribute much on peoples builds cuz I think most people on here have WAY more skill than I do.

Thanks a lot! I know it's been pretty slow of a build lately bcuz of money (or lack there of). Just trying to make use of some parts I've has sitting around.
I've definitely noticed a large improvement in my abilities from the start of this truck. My next build should be legit! Lol

Anyways. Got both spring bushings done and done. Here is my new shackle angle.

I don't like that it's pointing forward. Hopefully next week I'll finish the 52" spring setup and that should push it back enough to take care of things. Blazer fest is two weeks away so in ready to get it cracking.

Don't know if you're done with the rivets, but the best way I've found is to "X" the head to the core, take it off with a air hammer w/ chisel bit, then knock it out with the air hammer w/ pointed bit. :waytogo:

Thanks. That's pretty much what I've been doing. Only I've got it to where I'm only making one cut thru the center of the head the busting it with the air

Did you get your replacement fuel gauge? It says delivered but just want to make sure

JJ

JJ
sure did !
i'm going to throw it in tonight and hook it up and she what she says. also going to work on cutting the rivets out on the front body mount and springs. going to try and get the new bumper and and spring setup done on saturday.

Hey jj, I just hooked it up and same thing. Won't move off E. showing 10.5 ohms at the gauge? It has about half tank maybe less?

Thinking bout it more and more in thinking it has to be the fuel sender... Bcuz at 0-90 ohm sender showing would be almost empty. When I get back home I'm going to try and see if I can convince the float to think its full.

it's honestly sounding like the sending unit itself. with half a tank you should be between 40 and 50 Ohms
