I too like to build things to come apart and be easily serviced later. I've worked on way too much crap that was engineered wrong to begin with and never designed to come apart and then it's a huge pain in the ass when it does need to be worked on. Plus if you build it that way then karma will be like "haha you ain't never gonna have to take that apart again" and you will be like "Shit! I did that for no reason" so win win in my book. Either way you're ready for it.

So...copying Wade again?

Yes so to speak, I want it tucked up and being a long bed it may get crushed. With the tank out back and the longer springs it would have to be under the tank and would probably come out weird looking.

I'm the same way, I like the idea of easy service. So far everything on this truck is stupid simple.

The 63" springs will help protect the tank somewhat. You gonna raise the tank or are you gonna retain a full functional bed

I would like a connection between the Y and the muffler, but for now I am going to put a flange at the Y , from the right side. I don't want to mess with the studs at the manifolds on both sides. Then I don't have to fight with it since I have the trans out , again......

See, if I had done the exhaust work 4 years ago, the trans would be good!

I'm torn on where I mount this trans cooler, I really don't want to mount it under the hood but it seems like it is the best spot.

I could mount it in a grille but would have to cut it and shave off the back side a lot.

Under the truck, in a wheel well or any place that will see rocks, branches, flinging mud, dirt tree branches, etc. is a bad idea. Either mount one without a fan in the front of the truck so the engine fan and or air movement keeps it cool. Or one with a fan any where in the engine compartment.

Or spend the next six months and ten pages in this thread talking back and forth about the same thing that the engineers of all the major car manufacturers figured out for you years before you were born.

That's what I'm trying to do, I also want it easiest and in the best possible solution and not have to cut up my braided lines.

I'm trying to take pride in making it easier to work on and not jumble up a ton of stuff

Also haven't had the money and been doing other things then working on this.

I think you might run into trouble if you're bypassing the radiator (assuming that what you're still doing?) and only running a cooler under the hood. I know of at least two people that have had that problem in a square with a 4l60e/4L65e.
