You know I'm not good at esplanin thins. I can build it all day.
Draw a vertical line on paper.
Now horizontal line at 90 degrees.
You have a shock and a le drawn.
Now draw a line from the intersection of those lines down at 20 degrees down from horizontal.
That point will be the bind. The tabs will hit the shock end mount. Steel on aluminum is not good.
You want the most rotational movement in line with the axle.
Not sure if that helps.

Going 90* does seem like it will bind with much articulation...
I guess the best description would be to look at a TT rear arm. It is the extreme. Shock ends line up with the motion of the arm.

If you are running a D60 DIY4x sells a pair of tabs notched to fit half on the axle tube half on the inner C. Made to be a parallel to the axle as Wade mentions.
Just to clearify what I need is this?

THose should be perfect. But doesnt DIY make those too? 
They do, but not for the price I'm getting them at. I love diy4x, but I'm running low on funds and need the penny pinch every bit!
If that's Ballistic ... well ... DIY is better. Kert is a good guy. I think I read that Ballistic is in better shape lately, but they used to be ... mmm, no. I would not buy from them again.

I was a bit shy at first, but after talking to a few people I thought I would give them a try.
So did I. They charged my credit card for all five items, waited a week or so to ship three, then six months to ship the other two. No indication of back-order on the web page or via email -- I only figured it out from the invoice that came with the stuff they did ship.
I won't try again.
Kert actually has what he says he has, charges you for it and ships it when he says he does. (Well, he or the missus does, but really, a much better sort of company to do biz with.)
You get to decide whether that's worth a few bucks or not

Don't get me wrong at all I love DIY4x, and plan to continue my business with him. As a matter of fact I should be giving him a call or PM soon.
I will report back with how everything works out with them. I guess if it doesn't work out I can drive the 2 hours to the shop and bust down the door.
