I have a set of those, I might just get lazy and move the striker down though.
I fixed the brake lights, apparently you need a fuse in that spot for it to work, drove from phoenix to huntington beach with no lights...

I would do bushings over moving the striker, it doesn't take much time, and then you won't have to touch it again for a while.
Can you do it with the door on?
I'm sure you could, i normally take it off but once the pin is out you have some wiggle room
I was hoping I didn't have to take it off, should be fine to do it correctly then.
If you can support the door in place pop both pins. Move the door away and install bushing and new pins
Went to BB22, beat the crap out of the truck but it runs and drives. Nothing like post truck prep to make sure it's good the rest of the year.

If we were still racing then YES, it already boogies pretty good across the desert.
Did that for 5 years, don't really want to do that again.
This is the plan, looking into radiator replacement and more trans cooling for the long trips.
I already put Holley efi and a decent cam in it, I may or may not be wanting a supercharger.

Supercharger and 4L80E and enjoy it.
The 4l80e is going in once the 4l60e goes and it’s not showing any weak points.
This will be going in soon, before next summer.
I'm thinking the supercharger will expose the weak points.
