I just want a paint that is uv resistant and has ceramic hardener. I'm just going to buy the 2k stuff and be done.

As of 15 mins ago I'm now riding the unemployment train...

Either I slap this together and drive it or it gets put on the back burner.

That sucks. Don't just slap it together. Go find another job doing something fast.

It really does, I'm just glad I didn't put the orders In that I have been brewing up...

I have a line on a job already, I know a guy who hires people and he knows of a position running machinery making boxes.

By slapping it together, I just wouldn't be able to paint the truck and would have to go cheaper on a few things. I just got off the phone with the body shop I was interested in and had a appointment Monday.:doah:

That is push come to shove.. I will hold off on it as long as I can but If I need to get rid of my daily driver I will be forced to toss this together to drive.

Yea Im on the funemployment train too. And Il probably be on it till after the first of the year till construction fires back up. Sucks but it happens to everyone. Something my father told me years ago was if you cant make your bills and everything on funemployment, your living above your means. Dont rush through and slap it together, just try and do what I do, the cheap boring stuff that needs to get done but you just dont want to do it. Good luck on the job search or whatnot, it wont be long.

Got a job I start the 12th...

Now should I start buying parts again or should I wait. I won't be starting work until the 12th so I will have plenty of time to burn now.

You better make sure the job actually happens. I would wait until I got paid the first time to order anything. I'm sure you can come up with some little stuff here and there to occcupy yourself for the next couple of weeks.

That is what I'm thinking but I do have some cash saved that the purpose was for this build.

You better save your money until you have a steady source of employment dude. Be careful. Better safe than sorry. The truck will still be there waiting on you when you decide to get back to working on it.

Yes, I agree. I might spend a little just so I'm doing something but I won't get carried away.

I might have jumped the gun, I was just excited. I haven't touched it sense I lost my job even though I got plenty to do for free.

Do the free stuff until you get your first paycheck. In the meantime, you can also scrounge around junkyards and stuff and look around for stuff you can use. Get some ideas. :D

You had better have your stuff ready soon. I will be in Flagstaff tomorrow and Buckeye on Friday.

Let fabbing begin.

Congrats on the job.

For what we have planned, I think it will work out. You will be driving right passed my house on the way to buckeye.

Thanks I'm excited about the new job, it opens up a big possibility for my future if everything works out.

Thanks, I actually feel like doing something to this truck today so I will maybe post a update.

I got the itch to drive this and will be making a few short cuts on a few things to save money for the paint job. I'm thinking I will have to save up for awhile longer for a paint job...

You guys think if I rattle canned the firewall it would look horrible? I would paint it the color of the final body color just don't want it to look odd, or can the shop paint around the engine?
