Did one side move more than the other?:haha:

Actually, I didn't notice any difference... Thanks to my custom dump truck pack.

It looks like they are mounted in two different locations as compared to the factory cross members or is the pictures an optical illusion.

Looking at it more, i think you need to swap them side to side and mount them in the holes that the driver side is in now.

no one is mountd back in the wrong set of holes. easy to tell as the bumper bracket bolted to the frame is way to close on the wrong one to the flip.

1/2 and 3/4 ton frames have both sets of holes i have seen for 52 AND 56 springs.

What would I do about not being able to drill the bottom holes? If I do they will run out from the bottom of the frame channel.

While I agree that from a shackle angle point of view it would be best to have them mounted in the forward set of holes, you can see in the pics that the passenger side one is mounted in the wrong set of holes which is the forward set. You can also see that the "offset" in the hangerss is favoring the rear. Looking at the driver side hanger, imagine the shackle angle if instead of the hanger favoring the rear, it were swapped with the other bracket to favor the front. That would put the shackle angle right where it is intended to be with this kit. Additionally, by moving the brackets to the rear set of holes, you should be able to utilize the bottom mounting holes in the bracket.

I want to keep these springs, I plan on towing with this truck.

I think I might try both ideas to see what it does. Might be a total waste of time or pure awesome. :doah:

Yes sweetk30 I don't need anymore work. I already got a hand full. Looking at old pictures to what it is now I can't believe the difference and I still have a lot to do.

I won't be able to do any work this weekend unfortunately.

But I wanted to get your guys thoughts about this paint. I sent a PM to Ryoken for his thoughts also.

http://www.eastwood.com/ew-extreme-chassis-black-high-gloss-aerosol-14-oz.html I will be painting the frame and axles with this.

I used the original chassis coat from Eastwood and it sucked. After one winter rust was already forming again. A$10 can of rustolium would have covered better and lasted longer. I don't know if the extreme chassis is any better, but I'd go with the 2K cermic chassis coat.

x2 on good thick coat of reg old rustolium black.

snow plow guys use the rustolium all the time .

other han few chips and fading of the yellow on my plow it still looks great. and fyi dont spray bom it. do a can and cheep brush thick 2 coats worth .

I'm mainly looking for chip and UV resistance. I do have a spray gun buy no idea how to use it for the 2k ceramic paint.

Is this the paint you used?

Other then the rust peeking through, which I doubt I will have that problem in Arizona how well did it hold up? Do you have any pictures?

If rustoleum had a uv and chip resistant paint I would be all over it.

If you're painting the frame and axles with it, then I doubt you'll have to worry about the paint fading due to UV rays.

Rustoleum will fade though. I painted the exterior of my truck with it about 1.5 years ago and I can tell it's faded some already.

With what I want from the paint, what do you guys suggest? I'm just real leery of brushing on the 2k ceramic paint.

my pic in basic dd use truck .

or if you want little more money and same results almost if tiny bit better . S.E.M rust shield.

Pic doesn't show, being in Arizona do you think I have to deal with rust? I have a coat of primer underneath, is that enough?

Sorry for the dumb questions, I really don't know anything about paint just what I don't want the paint to do.
