Well, the way the cables were ran on the 90 frame didnt work correctly with the newer axle (I cant remember which year it is). So he had to cobble together cables and brackets to get it to operate correctly. And that 1000$ is mostly the axle purchase price, and some DIY perches plus u-bolts and such.
