I edited the last part out, it wasn't bad but could have been taken wrong. If he wants the rest deleted, I will, I was mainly trying to add humor.

But really I'm interested in hearing how which way the tube bends is better. I would assume mounting them how Wade did is stronger because more surface area and triangulation.
 
if you do an "L" plate that carries on to the top of the frame, than "L" notch, or "step" the bottom of the tubes, so it sits 1/2 on top of the frame, and 1/2 down the side, you could get 5, 10 degrees of angle or so.. it would look VASTLY better than vertical, next to the frame.. give it a better shock angle and probably be stronger with a tie bar across the top... it looks stoopid straight up and down imo...

I just had that going through my head about 20 mins ago. Next chance I get I'm going to give it a try.

It also seems these brand new shocks I bought need to go up for sale being way to short now.

That's what I meant. I'm just not smarts nough to splain it that way.

And he is correct about it looking ugly straight up.

Those shocks make me think of grieves worn by Roman soldiers. :D

I had forgotten how much trouble the steering shaft presented. I agree with what's been said, they need to angle out. Too bad you don't have a way to bend them so they could arc out over the axle.
 
I thought these engine bays had tons of room until I started tossing stuff into the equation.


I saw this pic the other day, close to what mine should look like but with less lift and tires.

Very good point, this only took me about 20 mins or so, I feel it was time well spent getting it out of my head and only "paper"

I hope this weekend I can get these plates done.
 
Only thing of my concern is how do I make the tube sit like that on the plates?

I'm thinking if I cut it straight on the Y axis then with the degree of pitch I want cut it on the X axis.
