I'm probably going to put 2 stage paint on mine, but not sure how well clear coat would do with rocks and sand beating on it?

And my understanding is, that after the issues I had with the passenger side one pointing in to much, they have redone them to fit even better now. I really should have had them remake that one but didn't, they did offer. I just had them make a new collector that pointed out more to fix the problem. I also got the v-clamps on the flanges for better clearance and adjustable Co2 bongs.

bro you could fit a blown supercharger underneath your hood!!

Hahah I'm coming to find that, at around max bump travel the tierod is a qtr of a inch from smashing the oil pan. The engine needs to come up.

I'm having trouble finding the guy that used his k5 for his headers. He is a poster on here with a green k5.

Anybody have any tricks for putting the transmission and transfer case in? I have 2 floor jacks, was thinking about a piece of wood on the pan.

Go to Harbor Freight and buy the red transmission jack with the ratchet strap on it. You'll be glad you did. It's worth the $40 or $50. You can easily install the trans/t-case by your self usually.

Honestly I don't remember paying that much for mine. I think it was about $50 but that was in 2006. They always have sales and coupons though.

Sounds like it is the ticket then, I didn't want to spend the money but I'm going to eventually need it.

When all said and done a cherry picker engine stand and trans jack are going on Craigslist.

Good deal then, I will get them installed this weekend. Hoping to raise it up at least 2 inches.

What is a good angle to have a engine set at? I will put the gauge finder on the valley cover of the 6.0. Where the intake bolts to on a 350.

Once I get those dialed in I will send it off to kurt(diy4x) and hope to get them in soon and start on the hoops.

I talked to the painted he said about 3 weeks to paint the truck. Not sure If I'm going to have the cash, I wish I could put a bit on a card but he doesn't accept plastic.

Very tempting.. I swear my sister is bugging me to get it done by March so they can drive away with it at their wedding.
