:haha:

damn guys! :haha:

Hey Baba, you still looking for the window/lock wires that go behind the dash?

Yes, still looking for the stuff.

Got new cab mounts on today, it's now 3/4 a inch higher off the ground. :eek1: For the passed 22 years my Dad thought the passenger rear nut was spinning inside the cab, turns out the bolt was stripped but the nut was fine? If you put a socket on the bolt, it would just spin and not go anywhere. I jacked the cab up and it spun right out no problem, why is that?

Also, just for Wade I cleaned up the firewall and check out some clearance, I think the engine fits perfect now.

What do you guys think, the engine is at 6 degree rake with the trans perfectly flat.

I don't know man. The engine moves a good little bit on the mounts. Looks nice and clean though. I think a 1" body lift is in order.

Unless for some reason the cab mounts sink or the engine comes flying up off the mounts it won't hit the cab.

Frame clearance is about a 1/4 of a inch from hitting the rails.

I hope not. Keep in mind that the body/frame flexes a good bit on these trucks, especially off road. Of course with all the frame bracing you've done and the new body mounts, you should have nothing to worry about.

Aren't you basing your engine bay on Teck's more or less?

1" body lift is your friend
I think it's quit close Baba. Even with my half cage, new mounts and such, I still see front bumper deflection. So from front to rear, it's twisting. Is 1/4" enough. Dunno, but while working the engine AND trans it might become closer. :dunno:

that and 1" body lifts helps underneath spacing too :thumb:

I think he also doesn't want the height.

Maybe, I haven't read everything. But considering he's going links, spacing the body up a tad just helps tire clearancing that much more. :D I wouldn't worry about it Baba, it's too easy too do and cheap, plus when you decide to clock the T-case you'll have more room :thumb:

I don't think I will clock the case up. I want the low cog but have lots of travel.

:D a flat belly is where it's at, G. It will complement the travel nicely :D

also, did you ever get the power window wiring that runs in the dash or do you still need that too?

I don't think I will ever need the flat belly. I don't plan on wheeling this truck that hard in rocks and stuff.

Yes I still need that stuff. My truck is a custom.deluxe its the bare bones edition.

Trying to fit this thing in the garage is going to be a chore, guess I'll find out when it comes time to pull it out when I turn the key.

Maybe I should go with like 3 inches of lift and 33's.

Just ask if you need anymore. I would like to see you get this truck running.

Thanks Teck, I very much appreciate your help and offer. I can't wait to turn the key and fire it up.
