Yes I was pleased to still see that. Decoding the serial shows it was made in 1994, doesn't look 19 years old.

On a side note Wade, never mind the mess, stuff got kicked around sense last visit and clean up is tomorrow.

I just remembered my brother has that same welder. And his is easly older than that. It gets used on a weekly basis.

This will be able to handle the 4 link install right? I don't think I will be welding it but it will be nice to use this machine.

The bottle is a 75/25 mix of argon and .035 wire. From what I have gathered this is a positive, but the rust on the wire doesn't look good.

If you saw the stuff my brother builds, you would be fully comfortable with that welder. Buy some new wire. 75/25 is correct.

Seems to be light, I brushed it off with my hand. I might try and cut it out sense it's such a big spool.

Looks like a really good deal at that price. Always fun to get new fab tools :D

Dude you drive me nuts! Get some scrap from your steel yard and weld away! I guarantee you will learn to weld plenty sufficiently for your four link over a weekend. Anyway, good stuff! Sweet score!

I'm drunk and want to do some dueling drunk welding:thumb::haha::woot:

It will steady your arms. I don't lie lol.

I built that bumper by myself at like 3am and was definitely not in a sober state.

But yah I agree, get some scrap and practice

Some of the best first time welders I know where nervous as all hell. Shakey isn't a a bad thing :)

Why do I drive you nuts? I have some scraps laying around from projects I can mess with.

3 more rivets and the truck is ready for the ord 4 link. I had to wait a bit, got a little happy at Christmas and spoiled my nieces and nephews to much and I bought the welder.
