Back on topic, 34 days until Moab and 30 mins before I head out the door.

Plan today is to run it around town again. It desperatelly needs a bolt check and heim joint spacers. Also we will be pulling a dead k5 out of Shawns dungeon for a few parts for my truck and his other projects.

I like building trucks

So far so good, stopped by letzroll, Shannon Campbell's and super duty headquarters.:pimp:

Didn't get a ton done today, but figured stuff out. We should be hitting it hard on Sunday again.

It was a little weird being in the Campbell's shop, lots of high dollar toys and the best thing is they are just regular average guys.:thumb:

I already told you once, but for a second time, Fock you :flipoff7:

This guy. He has a hot chick doing handstands on his roll cage in a bikini and wants to go pitch a tent in the dunes on friday night, and you catch greif for going to look at someone elses trucks.

Gotta love him....

Anybody know what size bolts hold the fuel tank into the frame? Also what size bolts hold the fender liners to the fenders?

Seems like the gas tank brackets were 9/16 wrenches (3/8 bolts) but I'm only 80% certain. I'd bet the inner fenders are 1/2" wrenches (5/16 bolts) but I'm only 55% certain.

Hmmm, I won't be able to check until Sunday when I need them. I'll just risk it and get them anyway.

Anybody willing to pull a few out and let me know tomorrow?

They aren't off the shelf hardware. They are the GM specific pointy bolts. Super technical term.

Martin

Martin is right. But you can use off the shelf bolts. I only know for sure the inner fender bolts that bolt it to the fender are 5/16-18.

Aren't the pointy bolts called self tapping bolts? Either way fender on mine was 5/16 course thread pointy bolts. Lol. 1/2 inch head. I havnt taken off my gas tank yet but they look close to 9/16 head or 3/8.

^^This is correct. ^^

And Martin is right about the self starting bolts.

Man I got buckets of all the sizes here...not like that helps you though! :haha:
