He probably has the same mindset as me....everyday I don't work on this truck is another day it won't be ready. I drill myself into the ground far too often. Determination!

Same here. My projects lately haven't been CK5-worthy, but it's so, so hard to hang up my hat at night. There's always more to be done.

WTH?! I'm not following exactly what happened here
details are sketchy but from the hieroglyphics bango posted..... he was installing the trans, had the converter partially engaged when it slipped off the trans jack and fell to the ground. In the process it may have damaged the pump and or converter.
i installed the trans with the converter not fully seated, when i tried to bolt the flex plate to the converter it wouldnt rotate. i unbolted the trans and while it was coming back down the weight from the t case flipped it off the jack.
