2 and a half hours later you can still smell burnt fluid from the transmission hahaha.
Next weekend I will be in california, my two uncles and a cousin have been building a class 10 car with a shop that my cousin works at. They will be getting my trans. They own a fab shop and trans shop.

Reminds me of my Yukon gt in high school, 13" lift and 38's.
I put 5 transmissions in it. The last 3 died within 25-30 miles.
I don't know what it was, a used good trans went in it after that and sold it, but the case was ****ed up, or they weren't replacing somthing they needed to. They were catastrophic failures, the 2nd rebuild happened 15k miles after the first, the truck started shifting funny, then it acted like I bumped it into neutral mid acceration. Before I could back out of it and get on the brakes it slammed back into gear and locked the trans up solid. The builder began telling me how I was doing nuetral drops and stupid shit. After that it never went more than 30 miles without grenading. After the 3rd time getting towed and hearing the stupid excuses and i was doing something to it blah blah a used trans went in it and that was it.

Yup that is the plan. The joke at work is I'm going to need to order a tap from the trans bolts cause I'm going to wear them out
So it looks like I need to this truck and my dad's boat ready to spread his ashes by August. 
I was really hoping my step mom wanted to wait until next summer to do it.

it takes me just another hour to pull the engine vs the trans....
By the time it is over should be what 30 mins flat?
If he gets much better at this he'll be cutting a hole in the floor so he can rebuild it in place.
I bet if I had air tools, a trans jack and a lift I could do it in a hour.
Anyone ever pull the trans out of a triumph spitfire??? After pulling the 900 tiny bolts out and remove the trans tunnel you simply reach in and lift it out! This may be a good option for you! Lol
