I know a lot of people hate that style of build but those two duallies are awesome.
It's been awhile but I thought it had a locking tab so it couldn't back off? What keyway are you speaking?
The washer in between the spindle nuts has a tab to key it to the spindle. It's been awhile but I thought it had a locking tab so it couldn't back off?
Pretty sure that's what was broken. The washer in between the spindle nuts has a tab to key it to the spindle.
What's the difference? Is it worth buying the stage 8?I assume that you can buy new OEM style parts, I haven't looked since I have lots of spares. But you can buy Stage 8 spindle nuts, too.
The stage 8 is maybe a little easier to line up the lock tabs vs the little pin on the factory style. What's the difference? Is it worth buying the stage 8?
On a more satisfying note I put 180 miles on it from Friday to this morning getting to work.
35 miles to work, going to drop it off at my Brothers and swap out for the Tahoe until I can get the hubs fixed. You must have taken the long way to work.
Bearing hub, aka spindle.Stage 8 hardware is the only way to go, you literally only need a screw driver and pick to remove the hub nuts and I think it allows better bearing adjustment than the stock type hardware.
Is the locking hub loose OR the whole bearing hub? two different things here.
