At a bit of a stand still, trying to be a adult and focus on buying a house and setting finances in order but I want truck parts. It's hard cause everything I want to do is $2,000 +, so I'm trying to do cheap and use what I have in boxes to get by.
I started building the seat bracket for the 3rd time, I thought eventually I would put a cage in this but how far do I want to go before it's to deep and not street able? I was thinking maybe a hoop behind the seat for the belts to tie into at least and the seat bracket along with the factory bolt holes.

Are you saying that if you put in a cage you cannot drive it on the street anymore ?
No, I just want to keep the truck sane and not loose to much of streetable. I don't want to get caught on the might as well and have the trickle effect downhill spiral. It's very easy for me to want to go down that path, you can't exactly run a "race truck" down the highway.

Do a hoop, a seatbelt bar, diagonal brace, and a couple kickers down the side with easy step over access. Maybe some hinged bar with some locks.

I think FSFW did a simple bar behind the seat of his regular cab for a harness. I think a few others have done similar.
Single hoop and a some door bars, bend them like they do in street cars, still can get over them, but gives you some B pillar safety and proper harness mounts
