1983 K5 trail truck/dd/ R.I.P. 03/14/18

For the first time since I have owned my truck......I have a working fuel gauge :D it made the wife pretty happy, she doesn't like the guess how much fuel is in it game :haha:

Sweet. My fuel gauge is on the short list of fixes also. After the last trip I think I cut it to close for comfort.

not many new updates, I have a list of stuff that I want to get done this summer.

Ford 57's in the back and real shocks. plus anti wrap bar.
New front drive line, mine is like a wet noodle right now, plus clocking my 208.
New quadrajet
and half or tube doors.

I found out why my winch wasn't working...

the soft top is getting the best rain test ever and only leaked one tiny puddle from the very back corner seam. much better than my hard top.

I also bent the rear hitch bar and bent down a ball mount pulling bushes from my front yard. so I need to make a new hitch and buy a new stinger for my dodge.

Hitch on the Blazer or Dodge? I've got a Blazer hitch.

If you want it, you can have the one off of my Blazer. It's rusty but solid, not extra charge for the custom peeling paint.

I knew the dodge 60 was narrow but i thought I had more room.

I couldn't fight temptation and went to play in the yard. I got hung up on the 3rd time over when it got muddy.

does anyone know why the hell the pictures keep going sideways?!

LOL

I forgot to tell you that a week or so ago my girls saw your truck when they passed your house. I got a text that said, "Daddy, your friend has his truck parked on a stump.". :haha:

A lot of pics I post from my phone onto here end up sideways for some reason. :dunno:

At first glance I thought you were just doing some extreme vertical wheeling already. :haha:

some new things-
half doors
single joint 1350 front driveshaft, Thanks NVRENUF :waytogo:

and I actually got to go wheeling for the first time in over a year. Overall the truck did really good and I'm happy with it.

I go stuck a couple times tho, having other trucks around is a nice confidence booster....
