fricken 90 something up g30 van with big blocks had 2 air pumps. talk about a plumbing nightmare hate those things.
Mid 1985-1986 3/4 and 1 tons had 2 smog pumps.
Yeah they came off of a TBI truck, but I would bet dollars to donuts if you remove the 02 sensor and install a plug no tester is going to see itthe tubes may work but manifolds are a later model. O2 sensor, would be a bust in Kommiefornia if it's there must be hooked up.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. There is usually a picture of the system on the air cleaner or radiator support.I think if it had 1 air pump most of these kids would pass it, I mean who think there should be 2 except us old guys.
Holy cow I missed a lot of traction on the thread, sorry guys! Not sure why I didn't get a notification.
@USSkoval and @Capt Ron you guys are great, I seriously appreciate the offers. I will absolutely purchase those things from you!
One thing before we go too far, I was thinking of taking it to get tested Saturday morning. Just go and pay the money to fail the test... just to see what exactly they fail me on and how bad the truck does. Then I know exactly what I need to put on the truck to get it to pass. Good idea or bad idea?
I did that when I bought my 76. I was living in green valley ranch at the time and the air care was just off Peoria and 70 is a close drive so I just went to see.... they give you a pass for a rest. (Or did) found out i was high on carbon. I then went to O'Reillys and found that they had a jet kit for my carb in stock. So I rejetted it quick and was able to retest the same day.Holy cow I missed a lot of traction on the thread, sorry guys! Not sure why I didn't get a notification.

I think that would be smart.
They will give you a full inspection everytime. In my experience they look it over everything regardless of your past visits. My only hesitation is that if they fail me once and tell me what I need to put on, I have to put everything that they say on the truck. If I buy some of the stuff from Capt Ron and USSKoval, and I install it, they might just pass me first go without looking too deep into things.
And that inspection is only as strong as the training of the tech. Some of them are pretty stupid.
I had dual exhaust on my 1993 454. They flagged my truck to the side. They couldn't figure out where the second 02 sensor was.LOL thanks for the laugh. Legitimate belly laugh over here.
