1989 Diesel Jimmy. What do we have here hmmmm

Seats will get recovered soon. I only put one in so my buddy could pull the other one apart and start making a pattern.

Out of an mid 90s burb slot one set of holes and they bolt in. Drivers seat will be power. Already made sure it works just gotta run one power wire

Did you get all the power wiring set up yet? Looks nice, in spite of the wear, should be much nicer than what you had.

No not yet. It sits exactly where I would have it so hasn't been a priority. My windows were the main priority. But since I might be leaving utah this next week with some tan doors they became less of a priority

Well, if you're in town let me know, I would love to catch up with you even if it is for a few minutes. I'm sure I can figure out where the tan doors are coming from :haha:

Am I the only one that really likes the factory seats???

Martin

Nope when in good shspe I wouldn't change em. All the foam in that seat was broke down the cover was obliterated. I was riding on the steel frame of the seat. It failed on a 3 hour drive. My back still hurts.

This solution gets me a seat I don't mind and it will get recovered soon . All for the price of fabric. Oh and helping link cage and all that other cool stuff to a bronco

I just found out the other day that the reclining seats were optional.

So lets rock an up date here. The move to Wyoming has put a serious crimp in my ability to work. No garage up here and a tiny house.

Well the back end of the he jimmy had finally had enough vibrating really bad. It was time to put in the 6 lug semifloat. You hat meant driving the jimmy to Rexburg Idaho to my buddies farm shop. Trying to get everything done in a weekend. Well that didnt work out to well.

Now the story is long and typical more parts were bad than thought. Got distracted by an off road trip in which all but one rig broke so 4 hours turned into 9. Oh and somehow the gears for the sf got moved to Afton and I forgot them :doah:. What a mess as far as accomplishments.

My friend has a couple extra cars so the jimmy stayed and I rocked back home in a plain white wrapper. Late 90s dodge caravan. Ugh what an awful but much appreciated vehicle.

This weekend comes I am raring to go. Get down there and just as last weekend thing starting going wrong. That rear axle was hammered discovered bad ball joints on the front. I have a buddy that was price matching rock auto for me though.

Well got gears done the back axle is literally completely rebuilt brakes gears bearings everything.

The front is the same except for brakes but they need do too.

So first drive death wobble bad not sure what it is but worried its my tires. That won't be good. One of them has developed cracks that were not there when I bought em. Just gonna have to deal for now. Cant expect every set of 200 dollar tires to be good

Hate those kinds of days. But it's good having good friends.

Glad you are getting closer :waytogo:

Yep . . .

Yep, mine don't move at all except a little bit front to back, the passenger flips forward to access the backseat but I want seats which can accommodate my 6'4" 295 self.

Well you found em then cause they work good for all 6'3" 305 of me:D

Nice shaft :whistle::doah::haha:
.
You know it.

Got good news death wobble fixed. Who knew at 2 am after getting a couple hours sleep we wouldn't be able to use a measuring tape and or realize we couldn't use a measuring tape.

Couple of buddies messed with it tonight changed to toe all is good. One of the guys who helped me is coming up here with it tomorrow his grandparents live up here and he is just gonna take the borrowed truck back with him.

Pretty happy now

Glad it worked out, and was relatively simple to get rid of the DW. Sucks not having a garage. This place we moved to in Edmonton is the first I've had an enclosed garage. My biggest challenge is heat, and a lack of 220 power...but I'm indoors and have 24 x 24 to work with.
