Good to see you back on Nick!![]()
Yea its been quite awhile, since new years ive quit smoking and started being pretty active. The blazer has become a full daily driver, so no real plans, time, and space to fix it but ive got some ideas on how i can make this happen this summer. My boss is fixing his one ton dodge and its supposed to become my takehome work truck. If that happens i can also borrow his new MIG welder. Im assuming itll be nicer than the flux. Now to do research on tailpan threads and get a list together of materials. The plan is to have the doors and front fenders done ( something else i need to research ), take a week off work and get it all done. I know the tail pan is going to be a hefty task enough. I am ordering new rear wheel wells and the apron that bolts on also, to save time not having to weld.
Damn, your tailpan has taken a beating since I saw it last just before you moved. I'd bet it had a lot of mud/debris packed in there, then the constant moisture on the coast went to work...
Glad to see you back to working on it!![]()
Its worse in person. i feel like it was bad even when i was there. once the flakey blue painted crap was off, it was all pretty roted and gross inside. it definitely needs to be taken care of, i feel like there will be a lot of tedious little pieces to fix in that entire area.
