2000 GMC SAS: Hydro assist assistance

Traded a set of LED lights and 500 bucks for some new tires. Someone recentered the wheels at some point, so they will be replaced. Some trimming required, and I've got to grind the front calipers, as these are 15's.

That sure is going to be a lot of trimming, Sure will look mean tho :waytogo:

Did some grinding today. Not enough yet, but I got tired of listening to the grinder. Whoever recentered these wheels used an 8 lug with a tiny center hole. They won't fit over my 60's hub. Did some grinding on the hole for test fitting and now I'm on the hunt for the hard to find 8x6.5 15x10's.

How do they compare to the XML's?

Martin

Size wise is the only comparison I'm able to make. The deuce gets around good for being huge and I've been very happy with the xmls. The trucks are so different in power and weight I can't make a fair comparison. I'd love to have a set of the smaller xmls for both of my pickups for all around use. I also know that the 42's are about 100 pounds lighter.

Curious to see how you like the truck withthose vs. The boggers ooverall.

It's going to be a big change. I like the boggers. They've worn a lot better than I thought boggers would. I don't have enough gear for 42's. I'll probably hold on to the boggers and run them on occasion. I think with a tune and 5.13's I'll be close to where I am now power/drivability wise.

Size wise is what I was curious about, but those aren't the 325/85R16's huh?

Haha, yeah, I kind of guessed that after you said "deuce".......

Cheapest I'm seeing on Summit are around 70 bucks. Not bad, but I'm a little low on cash after buying the tires. I've got a line on a cheap used set from a facebook group. I'll be buying some new ones before too long.

I'm just trying to be cheap and get these things on and figure out how to get them to not destroy my sheetmetal.
