Pressure sensor failure is a common issue. Especially if you have a "brown" sensor connector on the ac accumulator.
Those look awesome! Just need to get yourself a color matched box
As far as the AC goes, just the compressor actually cycle when you jump the relay? I suspect that the relay only controls just the compressor's clutch. It shouldn't stay running all the time. These trucks have the PCM controlling the AC entirely, so perhaps one of the pressure sensors has failed?

The salvage yard had 6 gray trucks Tuesday. Not one had a bed. I'm about to just do a garage paint job on it and call it good. I'm tired of white. I've thought the same thing about a bad sensor. I just hate to throw parts at it and hope it works.
Would jumping the sensors over ride this and allow normal function? The accumulator sensor has a brown ring on it.
Looks good.
I had been eyeballing big red off-road for a while.
Maybe if I get my exhaust fixed up I could tag along? Especially now that I'm not dragging the entire underside of my truck over everything.
When we went out last I scrapped and bent my t case skid, scrapped the exhaust in multiple places, dragged my rear axle and hitch on every rock.
How do you think a k5 would do out there?
I'm going to try to call during the week and see if its still okay to bring my truck. I'd like to have you along, haven't seen you in over a year now. I think if my bus will fit a k5 will do just fine. There were a lot of mall crawler jeeps on at tires Sunday before last and they seemed to be having a good time.
I did quite a bit of dragging at Disney. My rear door still doesn't close right. I thought I was stuck on the waterfall when my hitch was on the ground and my door was in the ledge. Hopefully that doesn't happen again. With a k5s short wheelbase and more ground clearance I'm thinking you'll get around better than me.
Cool deal. I still have my dinky 31's. But the 4" lift helps out a lot. I can't remember if flags and stuff are needed or not?
It has been a while, I'll show up on time this round. Felt like an ass showing up 45 min late.
I remember watching you go up the waterfall. I was cringing at the carnage. Poor door / rocker.
Nothing like that required. The owner is a good ol boy, he's really easy to get along with. No worries on being late. I'm NEVER on time. We're thinking about trying to make it Saturday sometime. Probably be my truck and two rhinos. I may load up the dirtbike or quad if I trailer it out. I haven't decided if I want to go through the trouble of swapping back to the boggers and trailering it or just driving it on the military tires. How far is it from you?
Nice, part of the reason I have not been out to little Sahara is their rollcage/ bar rule for jeeps, broncos, and blazers. Regardless of if you have a factory top.
This Saturday I am going to be busy. Have to make some repairs on my DD. If you end up going out this weekend, ill try and catch you another time.
It's ~53 miles or about and hour drive for me.
I think the roll cage thing only applies to open top vehicles. I've seen over a dozen blazers and broncos out there without a cage. Have you called to confirm this? I've never seen it enforced if it is the case.
I didn't call. Just read their webpage. I interpreted the rule as if it didn't matter if your topless or not. I will have to call and confirm.
I have yet to figure out how to post multiple pics off my IPhone either.
Truck looks good btw!
