The ultimate goal for this truck is tow duty/family camping trips/small offroad adventures.
Oh I'm sure. The current steel wheels are black too.
So I stumbled across these today at work. Still 285/75r16's and on some 50% Cooper AT's. I can get them cheap, run the tread down, then mount my BFG's on these aluminum wheels.
Yah or nay?
I like the updated look, but not stupid looking like most of the newer stuff. Still gives it a nice offroad look to fool people about the 2wd trans.
Paint them white.

Aesthetically, I like the look a tiny bit more than the steelies. Since you insist on black. 
They won't fool anyone about your 2WD drivetrain. And the extra holes give an even better view of your missing front driveshaft. 
The real question is whether you want more wheels in your life. The ones you already have are fine. Unless you have some compelling reason for going down another rabbit trail, skip the wheels and buy a driveshaft so you don't need to care whether your truck "looks" like an offroad truck...

I run a similar wheel on my wife’s tahoe but they’re 17” methods so yeah, I’d run those....

Yup, me. But, these are good looking wheels despite the color, and on this truck they would probably even look decent. So, don't like the color, but they look better than the rusty steelies.

I`d run those wheels as well. I like the style and black rims never bothered me.
