what steering parts are you waiting for?
And I hope the springs settle a bit.

I agree. Front stance is money.Just lift the back a little more everything will be ok.
This was in reference to the steering. Not sure why it put the post all the way doe here.I have them. Just ran out of time. Going to try and use the factory Ferd parts.
I think I need to build a truck like this except maybe I would go 454 instead of a 6.5L but it's a toss up...gotta have an nv4500 though. I saw one on craigslist one time that was lifted with a solid axle swap and a supercharged 454 and an nv4500. Looked kinda hacked together though.

Yes I do really love your truck. An 8.1L with an NV4500 in a squarebody is my other truck to have. Plus it's a longbed. What about an 8.1/NV4500?
I think the springs will settle just a little bit. I have the same stance a little bit on my crew cab right now. I'm sure mine is exaggerated a bit since the factory springs were sagging and now I have brand new 3" springs (with 2.5" shackle flip rear). But honestly....I like the height of the front...I say get the rear to match it....but that's just me, haha. This is the way it should have come from the factory in 2000 IMHO. It's looking real good!
I think everyone needs to build one at some point. That way GM will get the hint...This build makes me want to SAS a GMT400.

I wanted to have the overall height a little lower, says the adult in me. But the teenager/kid in me says to run it on 35's haha. I do like how the front sits. It looks good. Wife was a little caught off guard on the overall height. She's short. 5'2" and doesn't like jumping...What about an 8.1/NV4500?

As much as I will be driving this, I need the diesel MPG's. I also like the 6.5 due to the fact everyone who is uneducated about them think they blow up for no reason. It's a unique truck all the way around, and that's why I love it so much. Every around here has new diesels, and are "bros". This is a diesel build with class and purpose.I think I need to build a truck like this except maybe I would go 454 instead of a 6.5L but it's a toss up...gotta have an nv4500 though.
