2000 GMT400 CREW CAB SFA SWAP-The Warden: Fuel leak fixed and awaiting surgery…

The ultimate goal for this truck is tow duty/family camping trips/small offroad adventures.
Classic industries has the plate for $50. I'm going to look at the console a little closer when it gets in, and if I think I can, I will make my own plate for the gauges.

The CI plate says it accepts a 2-1/16 gauge, and that's the size I already have so that should work perfectly. Going to start with boost and egt for now. I'll find a spot for the trans temp at a later date.

Do you currently have either of these gauges?

I like overhead consoles.

Must be a mental thing every plane movie I ever saw right before they did something awesome they clicked some over head switches. You guys know what I'm talking about
I noticed in Street Outlaws, Big Chief has the start button/ switch overhead like where a visor would be, I admit I've thought that would be kinda cool.

Do what I did, I modified a gauge pod for a Ram to fit my dash. Also, the steering wheel has been fixed, this is an old picture.

Function is definitely there, but I really am trying to stay with the factory look. Plus, with my ADD, that will cause even more issues with focusing on the road. Lol

I painted the pod to match and the gauges came from speedhut, who will put custom faces and needles on to match whatever it is you're doing. In my case, I had them match my factory gauges.

My radio is really going to bug you then:grin:

:haha:

Greg and I are in the middle of discussing my hodge-podge of aftermarket gauges and gauge placement. He's being nice about it, but it's clearly a different approach than what he's wanting to do. :wink1:

That is old! In the pic you still had push buttons for the NP246 and only showing 221k. But awesome gauge pod idea! Looks good. :waytogo: I need to do something like what y'all got going on for myself, for trans temp, and eventually air pressure.

Only about 6 months older than the axle swap, I average about 30k miles a year on whatever is my daily driver. My Silverado already has 23k miles added since I bought it in December.
