2000 GMT400 CREW CAB SFA SWAP-The Warden: Fuel leak fixed and awaiting surgery…

The ultimate goal for this truck is tow duty/family camping trips/small offroad adventures.
No need to paint it. My interior is blue. :dunno:
Looked black on my phone...
I just had to go back and look again. I thought it was blue also

On second look, I now see dark blue along the edge, but the important parts are charcoal grey. Didn't see any blue the first time around.

Maybe we're all slightly colorblind?

So I'm taking a day off to play with the family and just enjoy having a free schedule. So while everyone is down for a nap, some thoughts are in my head.

Last year I was having an issue with the breaker blowing on my house when my block heater would be plugged in. It didn't pop right away, but would do it at some point in the night. I tried different outlets and even different extension cords. Always the same issue.

Any thoughts?

Coil might be moving once it’s warm and grounding to the block

The coil is possibly compromised, so when it gets hot, it curls. When it does it may contact the block, thus shorting to the iron.

Try plugging it in in the morning when you’re home on a weekend. Once it pops the breaker, check continuity to the block and the power cord. I bet it loops...

That makes sense. That sucks cause it's a new block heater. I'm wondering if I got it to close to the block or something.

In Limon. Apparently they have a venison sandwich. I didn't try it.
