205 Output housing mod 4L80E

Yessir. The 205 part wasnt in their system, so I bought a 241 ring per MEK5's excellent write up on here. I've got a good friend who works in a machine shop.

On a somewhat related note, this is a 205 I bought from you. I drove up to Kansas to pick it up a few years ago. I'm finally getting around to doing something with it.
Wow. You're not ringing any bells to me. Maybe because I've sold so many of this stuff and have seen lots of different people over here. I couldn't even remember which 205 I sold you either. :doah:

I think I picked it up from someone else, but it was yours. It was an 85 400/205 combo. It was in 06 I believe. Time sure does fly.

Ok, I think I remember Justin Pelon coming over to pick up a trailer full of stuff from me and said he was taking the 400/205 to someone else. Must have been you then. :waytogo:

how much of a gap is there between the sensor and toner ring when done???i got everything just not how far bore or counter bore

.010 to .012 is what advanced adapters recommends. I have heard you can get away with more.

can anybody tell me how much we counter bore the the sensor hole and from the toner ring to sensor??

sensor to ring gap should be about .010 to .012 per advanced adapters. See the following link. http://www.advanceadapters.com/downloads/50-0405.pdf

I know it is not a 205 output housing but it is the same idea. My buddy set his at .018 and it works fine. Mine is set at around .015. As to how much you need to counter bore to achieve that dimension, you will just need to measure your particular setup. I drilled and tapped mine, gave it a small spot face, then installed sensor and housing to get a measurement, and then calculated how much more material needed to be removed.
