2wd 02' burb to 4wd?

Ahh,

That sounds like even more work!!!:eek1:

Just paint yo windows:thumb::whistle:

That's definitely one idea.......oooor maybe not:)
I have limited access to an english wheel and a break but Im in over my head a smig. I just wondered if anyone else had thought about such a conversion. If I ever manage to do it I want to mount cabinets for storage on the inside.

Just sayin lol. Its got the sheetmetal already done for you!!!! haha:haha:

BUt no you cant have it, BACK OFF!!:whistle::haha:

I've been trying to plan for my steering changes and I'm not seeing an easy way through this. The newer(post 98) rigs still use a steering box but have down graded for sure. The box is small and uses an idler arm on the opposite frame rail. The center link has threaded ends and uses rack & pinion style tie rods! Has anyone seen anyone change this set-up? I can only think of (so far anyway) maybe setting up a pre-runner style equal length steering. This would en-tale much more designing than I ever thought.

Ok so I emailed the folks @ ORD and they recommend using there highsteer kit - $880. I could save some $ and go with the standard $440 conversion kit but @ least I have easy options. I'm setting up my 91' right now for a friend so the 01' (not an 02' I found out) will stay stock for a few more months.

new addition!!!!!

So I finally got started on the dang truck! My wife has been pestering me to paint the truck all one color so here we go....O yeah, I wanted a panel truck too:weld:

I'm intriqued to see how this turns out, I can't say that I've ever seen a panel-burb before...

I have but the newest one I've ever seen was 67-72 vintage and had three doors up front.

Ok so the time has come for a tranny replacement. I can't decide between a divorced 205 with a stock tranny or a married 205. Can anyone throw there two cents in? Divorced would mean me not buying a 4wd tranny or trying to convert my 2wd. I hear horror stories about converting the freeze plugs on the tail. A married unit would provide less chance of vibration issues but cost alot more. Any thoughts? - Thanks

What's wrong with a driver drop 241? Easy to get. Strong enough for the application. Bolts to the 4l80 without any hub-ub.

The panel conversion is hardcore:waytogo:

Does the 241 require any electronics? I think it has a vss in the tail shaft but that shouldn't bother me right? - Just don't plug it in I'm thinking.
