I got my pieces today

I'm not sure when I'll be able to get it done

I need to get the spring hangers in a press, right now they are like this \_/ and They need to be like this l_l

You don't need a press. Put the bolt in and go. We err on the open side just a smidge so you don't get a set you can't do anything with.

What's up with the "clubs"-looking pieces???

Front emblem for the grill

Oh Alright I'll get some bolts and try that

I tried a hammer, but it didn't work too well

I think tomorrow I'll get some bolts at fastenall (6) 9/16 5" long bolts, maybe fine thread

And then If our shop neighbor is there I can weld it, right now my cord isn't long enough, but even if hes not there I can grind it and get it ready for welding.

I have to go back to school monday

I can weld my steering arm, I'm not sure how I'm going to drill a 3/4" hole though

I'm back to school now

It will take much longer to complete now, I have hockey 3 or 4 days a week too, plus homework

I think I may get rid of it when I finish too, I want a street stock dirt car

Who would have ever guessed you would give up on anything. Or changed your mind 20 times, then never did a thing.

Your post really doesn't make sense

Sign up for a class at a local community college and learn some basic skills on how to observe the overall main idea, then get back to me. Clearly you do not grasp the fact that all of those apply to what I eventually want to do.

I'll explain it to you since you clearly do not grasp it, firstly the cousin willard picture is pretty similar to what I want to do, maybe not quite as extravagant but pretty similar, the wheelbases will be pretty close, it has 4 doors, the back over hang was shortened greatly, the tires are about the same size, you get the point. Plus it is a beautifully crafted truck and what is wrong with wanting to see more pictures? Do we have an insecurity issue with me not asking for more pictures of your truck? Which I believe I have, maybe go back a few pages and you'll see it. Next we have the original thread about my plan, clearly I have not changed my mind since then and have actually progressed towards the overall goal. Also I will have to do something about the crossmember if I want to do crossover, what is wrong with asking if anyone has a crossmember besides ORD. But I have decided not to spend the 165 dollars that it costs, I will modify the stock 4x4 unit from my 78 stepside truck.

Basically what you are trying to say is leave the building of trucks up to people that did not do good in school.

I got all the brackets welded in today, took the 2wd suspension out, and mocked up a 52" spring

And at that comment, it was just a quick comment that I edited in real quick, didn't read over it

That's kinda an insult to everyone who sucked at school. I myself barely passed high school but that doesn't make me stupid. I know plenty smart people with NO common sense whatsoever. Just be prepared to hear others responses to that statement is all i'm sayin ;)

The only question I have is.........Who wrote that for you?

Trust me when I say "I do have the basic skills on how to observe the overall main idea"........Your in over your head on this build. It will never be completed.
So far in the last nine months, all I've seen is cardboard cut outs and a whole lot of picts other peoples trucks and ideas.

I bet when I look at your treads in six months from now, Your still be no closer to getting this thing done as you are now......Kinda like the whole "Stock car" thing.
In a way, I hope you prove me wrong........But I've seen a lot of this type projects fall to the side.

and what did i say from the get go :doah: no one wanted to listen though

You guys are seriously pathetic

Are your lives so boring that all you have to do is come up with mediocre insults towards a 17 year old kid

I haven't done anything in 6th months because I was finishing up a road race car

And in over my head? Working on these trucks is anything but complicated

Nothing I've said was directed at your Randy, sorry if I offended you or anything, I've never had a problem with you and you seem pretty decent. Same with a few other members

But after while of these trolls saying the same thing it just gets annoying hearing the same thing over and over again

The only reason I am posting in this thread is for the few people that said they were interested in seeing it

And for_mud I indeed did make progress tonight, as you may have read in my previous post, maybe you didn't see as you were thinking of an insult whilst you skimmed over the sentence.
