Seems strange, but that is GM for ya! If you want proof, I'll get a few pics for you
you would think they would just have made one that cleared everything. I swapped a 2wd 81 cab onto my 4wd 83. no issues. I know the difference between the bolted and non bolted trans cover. if it's not too much hassle post a pic of the difference between the t-case hump and non-hump. I might have a non t-case hump cab and not have even noticed because I have a body lift.

One thing I absolutley HATE with a passion is when tire balancers mount the lead weights on the outside bead lips on aluminum wheels. Grrrrr....

he did the static balancing but the tire would only fit backwards........ go figure

But then when it came for me to outfit my own truck with tires, I decided on the Super Swamper TrXus STS. This tire, is like sex in rubber form for the road. It took hardly any weight to balance out, and for being a 39.5" tire, is a lot lighter than the 38.5" TSL SX's I used to run. Although when these tires wear out, it'll be time for a 3/4 ton (or 1-ton depending on $$$) swap, zero-rates (along with a shackle flip in the rear to get rid of the block) to net me a 13" all spring lift, and 42" Iroks on some 17" wheels. Here's a pic...

I know it's an all-terrain; I drive this solely on the street, with a '79 K10 being built for off road. Avery's is also a street truck, which is why I posted.
fuchsia is a pinkish, reddish color, depending on how much you squint your eyes, and it kinda looked that way. well why doesn't he go with some bias ply truXus STS tires.

If anyone wants a street tire that sees sand, dirt, and snow, I highly recommend the bias ply TrXus STS's. But for a lot of mud, I'd look elsewhere

and last but not least my favoriet

the procomp took alot of weights and i never ballanced the intercoes they rode nice and the dick cepek were loud

Thanks for posting bigblazer87...I've always liked what I've heard about the STS AT's although not everyone around these parts seems to like them.
Ok...here's an update: It's not done yet! lol
Everything is done and I started to hook up the brake lines when I realized they weren't the same size....then it hit me...the old brake lines had a converter box thingy that bolted on...so I got that and when I went to bolt it on the new brakes it didn't fit flush up against it because there was some molding on the back of the brake...so after school before I got to grinding the calipers to get the 15's to fit I ground those off....then I hooked it all up and put some sealant on it...
I spent the rest of the night grinding before I realized that I need to bring home a manly grinder to get this done...I spent hours and didn't get too far so I'll bring one home from work and finish grinding for the 15's this weekend....but for tomorrow I have some 31's on 16.5's that I was going to run on so I put them on and wen't to bleed the brakes and it was gushing from the stupid conversion blocks for the brake lines...I spent a while messing with them and we couldn't ever get them to stop leaking so I said screw it...I took the block and I'm going to go get a conversion so I can thread the stainless steel brake lines directly in...so this weekend it'll be done.

I've been paying close attention to this thread because I plan to do a swap on both my Blazer and my K10 in the near future, and not only have I been learning about the necessary parts I'll need, but it's been pretty entertaining as well! Oh, and Avery, don't you just love this stuff? I went through the steering arm dilemma when I did my lift, along with those damned brake lines. I ended up getting so frustrated I screwed up the stainless fitting on one end of the driver's side. So that was another set of front lines, all because of my impatience. Have fun with the build man, after all, if this wasn't a little fun or rewarding, would anyone be doing this stuff in the first place?
