So I get my one ton axles under the K5 this weekend. In the rear Im running 56" springs, shackle flip, 6" shackles and a zero rate. The 56's are 6 leaf + overload turned upside down. They are all from a one ton minus the clamper leaf which is from the K5 pack. In the front TC Ez-ride springs with zero rate and ORD HD shackle kit. The truck seems really high. I figured I would have to still cut some fender but Im thinking I need to remove the zero rate. I dont thing the 56" pack will settle much as they are broke in springs already. Im thinking the TC fronts might settle in. Whats yalls thinking? Id rather cut a little fender and have a low COG then look like a mud truck. But dont want to take the time to remove zero rates then have to put them right back in after some driving. My truck is a 89 K5 Scottsdale with front seats and rear seat. No trim or flooring whatsoever. 350/SM465/NP241 so maybe its just alot lighter than most K5's.......?

Nah, bout the same.

Tailgate right at 5' when closed?

I have 38.5's on my k5 with 4" lift. 52's up front. Definitely had to do some fender trimming but I love the stance! The COG is low and it never feels tippy.

Can we get a side-on pic?

You have components that come out to more than 4" of lift.

Lift springs+zero rate+ shackles= 5.25"
Shackle flip+zero rate+ 6" shackles=6"

Oh I do too. Miss drivin it! It runs so good! My old 4x4 dually is so cold natured that it just pisses me off. Gota let it warm up for 10 minutes to go to town for 10 minutes. But shes a work horse.20160503_193914.jpg

That's a good stance, looks good!

Thanks. Im assuming the rear springs arent gona give too much since there used springs. I guess when the front TC 4" settle in Ill have to remove the rear zero rate. But who knows. Its got almost no gas in it. So when its filled up it will drop a bit Im thinking

Drop a winch on the front. Sure helped mine ride better. lol

Kinda thinkin about buying a cradle winch that fits a receiver. We dont do any hardcore rock crawling anymore. Just trail riding. The winch would be handy to put on my dually for logging, Blazer for trail riding and could even put it on our Tacoma or gf's 4runner.

Perfect stance, hoping mine sits similar to that. What are you running for steering?
Stock push pull with ORD steering brace and ORD drop pitman arm. Not looking to do any hardcore rock crawling just trail riding around the Rockies. Didnt want to spend the money on cross over at the time. Hopefully I dont regret it.

If you don't do anything nasty, it's okay. I ran my k5 through some of the better trails in CO on push/pull.
I would put it on the list of things to do in the future when funds allow

Thats kinda what I was thinking. First thing I will do when money allows is get some diff armor. The steering I have is in great condition. Box is tight, tierods/kingpins/etc are tight as heck on the CUCV axles I got. It will do great just trail riding around 4 mile and Taylor Park where we will spend most of our time. Carnage Canyon is out. Heck I went a couple miles up Chinamens with the stock open axles and 33" tires before I tore it down.
