So anybody able to comment on the ride difference from EZ-rides to custom ORDs?
56s will have the same approach angle as 52s unless you change the location of the center pin, which you can do with 52s as well.
Night Day
It's been so long since I road in a full body with Tuff countries that I couldn't be accurate but I can tell you that the springs on the front of this years ORD UA truck are like a caddi. Pure awesome.
I can tell you that I just took out a set of EZ-rides from my '70 and installed the set that Stephen had Alcan build. I CAN NOT believe I put up with those for so long!!!!!! It made such an unbeilevable difference in the truck that I feel stupid for not doing it sooner. I also have driven and ridden in a buddy's '79 with ORD springs and same results. It has a Four Wheel pop-up for the K5 on it also, stable and smooth.

I got to get on these.![]()

Just plan on getting some real shocks at the same time. Good springs and shocks make the world go round.![]()
I used Dodge 52's, the pin is offset 2". (24"-28") Almost the same approach angle as stock 47" springs and with the b52 kit it can move the axle 4" forward.

I'm running some dodge 52's as well. Come out of the 73-93 Dodge pickups and Plymouth Trail duster.
There is also a 56 from some newer dodges with an offset pin. 24/32 is the split if memory serves.
Obviously more comes in to play for approach angle than just the front hanger or front half of the leaf spring.
