well started pulling the 60 apart to check the kingpins & they're perfect. just gonna clean everything up & replace the driver side lower kingpin cap/seal/gasket, paint 'em up, put in the new upper bushings and springs, and slap on the Sky Manufacturing Hi Steer Arms. also gonna put in the MAD4WD outer seals and Tera Low manual hubs. grease everything up as well. :D looks like the PO kept this well greased. ordered up some stuff from Greg over at www.4wdfactory.com to finish the rebuild on the kingpins. Greg was awesome to deal with & is highly recommended. but anyway, hopefully i'll have it steering on its own by Sunday.

wow there's a lot of stuff going on. it seems my thread falls down quicker every week. :D am i losing momentum?? anyway, couldn't get the steering on this weekend, took some time for the family. went to the beach, drank some Dos XX, and flipped my four wheeler. :doah: but tore into it again today. cleaned up the "c's", knuckles, and caliper brackets...i also repainted my shackles and front x-member silver. just too much black, it looked kinda yucky. had the shackles machined to 7 1/4". got my rebuild kit in from 4wd Factory. & painted everything else up. hopefully tomorrow, i can get around to painting the axle shafts & start on getting the 60 back together.

60's starting to look like a 60 again. new MAD4WD outer seals, Sky driver side arm on, new rotors, everything greased up & painted. tomorrow i need to retap one of the steering knuckle holes :doah: and get two new studs as they became victims to breakage today. :haha: i just want to swing this damn thing back into place.

well got the 60 ready to go back in. torqued the arm nuts to 110 following the ORD procedure using the ARP studs. setup the tie rod. put in the Tera Low manual hubs. if i might say so myself, the thing looks pretty damn nice & a bit bling...not bling bling, but just bling. :haha: hopefully i get the rock rings welded on & put everything back in place this week.
