That bites about the Blazer. Doesn't look like a whole lot of progress has been made. I think Robert needs to come help you build. Nice trailer though

...No he's good company and helpX-members, that way I can mount the body back in place and get the wiring and motor buttoned up, as well as the shifters. So, what is your first task going to be now that it is home?

Next up is the tranny x-member but got all the mounts ready to go just need to cut the tubing and weld it up.
Don't think I ever see it done that way beeefer

Way to be different!Don't think I ever see it done that way beeefer

not trying to be different just how it worked out...it's only 1.25x.250" DOM...not really proud of the welding on the tubing but it's done and happy with it the wife's not too tall so i can fit her in there while being able to move the seat further forwardIt's definitely got me scratching my head wondering how the passenger seat (or the actual passenger) is going to get back in there???
Guess I'll have to be in suspense like everyone else.

yea been looking for pics of others setups to get an idea but won't be able to see until I get what's left of the body back on hopefully next weekIf I had to guess, the 203 looks to be sitting right where the console would be. Since the bed gets higher right after the console, it might not be too bad.

thanks for the encouragementRGV,
It's sort of like playing Chess....you plan your moves a few turns ahead, or you spend a lot of time wondering why you just fabricated yourself into a corner.
If I wasn't going to Mog-9s, I'd have given serious consideration to a high-pinion front D60. If you're using a modest amount of suspension lift, having that pinion even just a few inches higher would make a big difference in angularity and will help a LOT with the operating angle of u-joints in droop. (uptravel angularity is rarely the issue).
How long is your front driveshaft going to be...have you taken a measurement from yoke-to-yoke yet?

Im considering building a d-shaft similar to yours with the D60 stubs...or I could chop the x-member and a long front d-shaft...haven't measured it yet, will do tomorrow
wrote tranny so I could remember which way it needed to facei like how you wrote tranny on the crossmember...
lol never good when you forget what your working on![]()
