Not that it's a bad thing, but welcome to baby jail... :D

The first year it's hard to go anywhere or really do anything other than raise your baby. If you do go somewhere the amount of stuff needed is similar to packing the truck for a weekend wheeling adventure.

You'll never appreciate sleep so much, when you get any.

Easily the coolest thing I've ever done in my life, and both of my daughters love coming out to help work on my rigs. My oldest is 16 now and has her learners permit. The only vehicle here she wants to drive is my '83 pick-up. When I realized how much she liked that truck I made her a deal...if she could show me she could afford fuel, maintenance, and insurance I'd give her the truck.

Congrats Greg. It's pretty cool when they are old enough to want to help. My daughter loves to help and gets annoyed when she thinks I'm not letting her "help" enough. We've had to learn about + and - screwdrivers, vise grips, and basic hand tools that she can retrieve now. Enjoy it!

Very well said Rene - I love the "baby jail" note!

It will be interesting to see how much the new addition can slow down "Energizer Greg." :D:waytogo:

I can't even begin to describe the feelings...

:usaflag:

Only a parent can understand that and no one can describe it.
Congrats man.
Take a break from the man space and spend some time in the family space, you will not regret it.:thumb:

This is very well said.

What took me a weekend single, took me 2 weeks married and now 6 months with kids. It's the most exhausting and rewarding thing in the world. God Bless you and your family :waytogo:

So is the rig gonna be a 16th bday present??? lol
He will be the coolest kid at school:woot:

I finally took the time to read this thread from the beginning.
And I must say I'm really impressed by this build, way to go Greg

Yeah, and congrats on the baby!

2011.02.11 - UPDATE! - I WILL NOT TOLERATE WHINING ABOUT D60 REBUILD COSTS...

For those of you who feel like complaining about the cost to rebuild a D60, take a look at what $435.74 buys in Mog-Land....

Basically, that's just a pile of small rubber o-rings, paper gaskets and some oil seals. :yikes: To be fair, this pile of parts is enough to completely redo both the front and rear axle.... but the vast majority of this stuff is to finish rebuilding the front CVs and knuckles.

That's the only update I've got. Still waiting on some CNC parts from Scott, but it will be a while before I have manspace time to install them anyway.

:usaflag:

A little late but just wanted to add my congrats on the new addition (no not the rubber seals). :D

Ok Greg, I was out at Jim's shop tonight and I grabbed some pics so you and everyone else can see what's going on "behind the scenes".
