You just got smoked by a 2 stroke!

Sled looks awesome.

Now we see some rusted out pieces of sh*t here is Wisconsin, but you must have searched high and low to find the biggest rustiest truck in the country to fix up.

I give you mad props for taking on such an ambitious project. My jaw dropped looking through the first pictures of the K5. You did some seriously awesome work on that thing. Looking forward to more.

Shameless plug, but i'll run it up the flag pole again to see who salutes.

I need a wrenchin buddy for a few hours to help manipulate the bed around while i burn it in place. Central NY. Only your liver and arteries will regret it.

Fun build. And if I where closer h3ll yes I would help (my artires and liver are in to good of shape), but you living on the wrong coast. Nothing personal but it is past the Ol' miss' and I dont wanna.

Still wanna see that K5 rock the trails though.

not too much for updates lately. rigs just a bit to big to fit in the 1 car garage and still have working room too, she sits on blocks tarped up waitng till the spring. time to accumulate parts over the winter. modest 2" lift, set of 33's, steering box support, roll bar/s, 1 1/2" or 2" steel tubing to bend up some custom bumpers. nothing too crazy. just a good solid camping rig. can't wait till next year to have the truck and trailer ready to tow the sled up to camp for our annual winter ride.

but you better believe come spring time its back full swing with the fire stick and the spark makers :)

just droppin in to say hi. fired up the 73 the other day and let her idle up to operating temp. everything still seems to be in good order. is it spring yet??

is my TH 350 toast? no forward or reverse... even after throttling up to high RMP for engagement. ATF is clear n red, no cat pizz smell.

went to roll it out of the garage to start welding the tub on and she said no! :doah: someone wann point me in the right direction here. not a Auto trans guy... for all i know there are tiny little wizards in the case that make the magic happen. might be time to transplant a SM465.

Wait before i gett a ear full... let me go check the Governor and Modulator and besure i don't have a vaccum leak.

Low fluid level? Might be worth putting an extra quart of ATF in there just to confirm.... My Burb would act like it was in neutral when the fluid level got low.

Worth a shot.... Spontaneous failure with no advance warning seems suspicious to me.

well if by spontaneous failure you mean not having moved an inch under it's own power for 6 months when i was rebuilding the front half, yeah i would think it would not be an issue either.

TCase in Nuetral... thank you :waytogo: I also made sure it was started before i tried to drive it, not just make motor sounds while sitting behind the wheel.

The T-case in N thing is actually reasonable, as NP203's are famous for having maladjusted shifters. Though you should "feel" the tranny being loaded if that was the case.

You mentioned rebuilding the "front half"; do you mean the motor was out, and if so, maybe the torque converter didn't get bolted back to the flexplate?

Otherwise, assuming no simple stuff was forgotten, yep, check fluid level, and then expect to drop the tranny and have it rebuilt. For many of us (like me!) they are a black box.
