73 K20....crossmember time

You look weird:D

I think mixing up tube sizes is cool. U have used 1" or 3/4" to gain room but still brace something up.

Horton's cage is gonna have 1", 1.75" and 1.5". Probably some .75 in there too for gussets

Haha oh I know!

So skip the gussets? I see I can get some 5 inch ones....

Where would I run the smaller tube? Like back of driver side to front where the perpendicular tubes are?

I'm using 3/4 inch tube on my gussets because I'm an ape also, head clearance is a premium in a standard cab.

Is short cab clearance different than Suburban or CC clearance?

I know the K5 has a different floor pan, but I don't think I'm closer to hitting my head in one.

Now you've got me wondering. ;)

If have to measure but I land in almost the same spot where my seats sits, so I have to think they're close but the floor in a truck is raised. The seat in a blazer is raised also..

Its a tough fight because sitting high enables you to see a bit more but lower keeps you away from the rollbar. I definitely sat a little lower in the blazer. Maybe an inch? Nothing earth shattering but damn the truck cab is harder to mount seats...damn blazer was flat ground.

I've already decided to cut the hump out of the floor if needed. The passenger seat is kind of screwed with a clocked case though.

To hell with the passenger.

I think i can make it work...the seat will have to be as close to the hump as i can get. That would suck to have to cut that out. I may as well do new pans at that point since mine are a bit holy.

Yeah, the truck cab floor is humped out for the saddle tanks. Suburban floor is the same, even though there are no tanks (would make an interesting storage compartment).

It would suck but I'm tall and I don't want an exo. The passenger side is getting hacked anyway.

Sounds like the words of a lonely guy. :1zhelp:

His dog is short.
