OK thanks ! I found some plugs on summit...wondering if it's 3/8 24. I'll have to try a few bolts.

I did a quick Google search since I couldn't remember. Hope this guy is right, about halfway down.

True. I suppose I should get plugs anyways in case it decides to shit the bed.

I would focus on getting the truck running. These endless bunny trails are distracting you from what is truly important...getting the thing DONE.

IMO plugging the openings is overkill. Not bad, but not the best use of your time.

I think you got it! A half inch bolt of the coarse flavor went in a thread or two which makes me think half 20.

It's not easy straddling the line of get it done and get it done right. I found some plugs to add to my summit order. I'll just plug it and forget it ever existed.

I'm trying not to leave too many stones unturned. forgetting small stuff can cost me a lot more than a AAA ride home.

I'm also trying to figure out every last little thing I need to make it run. Stuff gets overlooked so when I find something that should be taken care of it have to commit to it no matter how big or small.

It's getting real close though. I've been struggling with a weak ass soldering iron for more than a year. damn near have to use friction to get her going lol! My wire strippers are shit too. So I'm going to home dumpot and buying new ones...I got wiring to do and it's damn sure not going to be a bunch of cold joints, wire nuts and crimps!

I ordered a muffler, a bunch of fittings including what I need to modify the fuel lines.

Then I ordered one of those zip tie tensioner guns...dieing without that!

The other thing that goes good with zip ties is a pair of flush cutters. Actually use them for a lot.

Hey @ekajkrats how did you hook up your throttle cable to the fitech?

Man, I just drove up to Oregon or I would snap you a picture. I had previously switched to a Lokar throttle cable though, but my th350 kickdown cable is in the bottom and my throttle cable is run through a modified, cheap, holley throttle cable bracket that comes off the rear stud of the throttle body. I cant remember which hole on top it is attached to.

Though it's not this one, it is similar in its basic-ness.

Hmm yeah I found a TBI throttle cable bracket and put it on just to see. seems like it lines up ok but as far as adapting the cable eyelet to the throttle body, I'm lost. Im gonna dig out my old carb and see if I'm missing something between.

Knowing you and your profession, I would think you would whip up a solution involving custom CNC work on an aluminum billet...

Am I seeing it correctly that you need a stud to connect to the arm?
I believe that you can find some parts for universal carb installation .
If the bracket sits too low it will make it pull hard off of idle . I found that out on an install of a TBI spacer.

You are correct. I also had a ball stud hanging around that worked with my cable. You'll need that.

And because of a spacer, that must be why it pulls hard off idle, good to know! Thanks for sharing.
