73 k5 blank slate

Do you have a picture under the front of the tub from the bottom? I'm looking for the bracing that's 73-75 only, to compare to the 76-91 tub...

The good part of you doing this yourself is that you will know how the hidden rust gets dealt with instead of trusting that someone else did it. It would be easy for a shop to tell you that it was all good, and slap it together.
Glad to see that you are making progress!

Yeah, I'm going to see every inch of this old thing, God willing. I text pics of all this to my brother who's done body work for the past 40 years and his response is always "why did you pick something like this?" Anyway I'm learning alot and maybe it'll help those who come after me. I see alot of guys ask about finding shops who do rust repair but rarely see anybody who successfully got any of it done

Done cutting out floorboard and need to develop a plan for the rollbar mounting bolts before putting in patch panels. The holes are in a tough spot to weld in nuts so I think I'm going to put the bolts up through the body and spot weld them to a reinforcement plate I'm going to weld between the body and rollbar

I'm trying to remember if they were cage nuts or studs...

Is it possible the 73 was sold without one because the way these holes were drilled.... well I'll just say it's pretty much consistent with the rest of what the po did, lol
I will look in my books and see....I'd like to know the answer too. I'm pretty sure the roll bar was optional but you'd think the holes would be there whether they had the bar or not.
