If you use ammo cans I would recommend using some stick on sound deadening inside of them.

Good call I hadn't really thought about that. I have some of that foam for tool box drawers I might try gluing to the inside of the ammo cans to help with sound deadening

it will help a lot.

At Lowes or home depot you can buy roofing stuff that would be a really cheap option, it's also got a self adhesive side to it.

So this is how my soft top frame attaches to my cab and I'm not sure if I like it. Anyone have opinions? I might just stay top less until next winter or I have been toying with the idea of getting the tracks powder coated black to look better

If you're going to powder coat them why not white so they blend in? Could just scuff and spray them too.

I don't think they look bad, function over fashion.

With the trails at Tuttle Creek, that bracket would be gone in 10 min.
See I somewhat drive the same. On Rubicon I scraped the passenger side right where the bracket would be. But I could always bend it back and the topper will most likely be off all summer with a Sierra Nevada banner in its place

And if you have an actual blazer/Jimmy it attaches down lower in the lip where the hard top sits. I believe

I would have to build a lip since mine is really just the back of a truck cab. I might just put the top in the back of the garage for safe keeping until I really figure it out
