75 k5 on 44's....ChrisPerry's build thread

What shifter are you running? Looks slick. Killer blazer man
B&M pro-ratchet. I bought it for my pro-street dart build, but was running out of time and money for Blazerbash, so in it went. Worked out pretty good and I like the shift pattern.

Take the front springs to atlas and have them dearched I did the same with my 4 inch lift rear blazer springs. Then move the hanger back forward so it will not hit the firewall as much.

Is your front bumper from diy4x as well? Rig is killer!
No it a Blazen Off Road bumper. I like it for the most part, the winch mount is a little on the flimsy side and it doesn't follow the fender line too well, but with a little welding and trimming these issues were solved.

Oh ok, I forgot all about the blazen offroad stuff. Was thinking maybe it was a custom piece from Kert.

Ok time for an update.......

After all of the issues with the front springs, I decided that the EZ ride Dodge 52" rear springs had to go. They were 4" lift rears that I removed the overload and one leaf from. I had so much axle rap it was unbearable. Kept breaking centering pins, sat 4" too high, and they were stupid soft. So I thought I would try a set of stock Dodge 52's.

Lifted Dodge springs.

So I got some 3/4 ton stock Dodge springs.

Now the Damn thing sits 2" too low. I was not happy.

Damn. What if you added a spring from the other pack to these ones?

So I called up ORD. Talked to Chris and placed an order for some custom springs. After a few days Stephen called me to work out the details, a few weeks later brown santa showed up with a gift.

I told Stephen 5.5-6" lift was what my goal was, and because I am using the B52 kit Stephen had me take a few measurements for the custom length springs. I am so happy with them. Stephen told me they would be really flexy, 7" bump travel from ride height and roughly 12" total travel without help from the shackles.

He wasn't kidding.

I left the shocks in place to use as poor mans bump stops and limit straps, and it maxed them out, up and down.

Don't worry the bumpstops will be going in in a few days.

Thats awesome Chris. I actually liked it with the nose low stance. Kind of my favorite stance. I know most like it level but I don't.

Looking forward to wheeling with you again sometime dude

Nice! Custom springs are cool. :D Your K5 was nice already, but I'm sure you'll like the performance improvements.

Wow

Really nice wright up! I hope I can get around that much flex on 40s. Definitely going to keep watching.
