Looks like there is a few things in the garage that could possibly be stored elsewhere. Any room you can make up elsewhere will help.

Frontal room is the biggie...shop is a bit under 23'
Getting the length down to the frame will definitely help.
Moving the compressor to the side helped immensly as well.
Will still be a few jams to deal with but its my best option for winter work!

getting the box, bumper and hitch off the rear helped a bunch...got just over 2' of room now.
things are a bit rusty in the back of the truck, but everything came apart with a liberal application of PB blaster.
Box on the trailer barely made it out the door, it was touching the weatherstrip of the door opening on both sides.

pulling the box on a rusty truck is always a pain. Good work Dave.

Call me sometime when you get the chance.

I like the pic from the back with the box off.... Wide! Cool!

steam roller cool!

I got some rust bits in my ears while under there hammering away with the impact, but it came apart pretty good compared to a MI vehicle! I was expecting the carriage bolt ends to spin in the box sheetmetal, but they came out cleanly, they look good enough I will probably reuse them.

I can't wait to have a shop. Even one your size would be better than, well......nothing.

Can't wait to see the new heart in it:popcorn:

Gotta love the rust flakes in the face...

If the bolts came out cleanly, I think you could probably advertise that as a "rust-free" truck around here... :haha:

I've had to cut the carriage bolt heads off before to get them out as well....usually after they have stripped out the square hole in the box floor sheetmetal though!

My shop is rather small, but I've never had one better. Its 24x32 and this working stall is 24x 18, but it does have heat and A/C. I also have 3 stalls to store other vehicles and parts/tools in as well....they are all FULL enough I have moved the Vette to a buddy's storage garage for the winter....that way it won't get hurt, he closed the door after I put my car in (along with a 1993 Lingenfelter ZR1, a baja buggy and a boat) and he don't open the door until the spring thaw has happened....so should be no moist air getting in on the car over the winter.

this is probably the worst spot on the frame, behind the rear axle....but all the bolts came loose with some persuasion and Liquid Wrench and Kroil. The home made hitch was cut through the rear cross member with a torch, I don't think it will be going back on, I have the 14000# hitch off the Dodge I will make fit this frame.

That doesn't look bad. Just surface rust on an unpainted surface.
