I feel like the capital should be called Canyon Valley and it should be on the highest hill we can find.

But Aawon couldn't handle it up dere. :pimp:

Hopefully by this time tomorrow I will have everything done on the frame from the cab back, and it will at least have a coat of primer. The bed is ready to bolt down which makes me really happy but I have to do the paint and fuel lines first.... it’s always something. Lol but I did get a few things done today. Figured out how I’m going to mount my shocks and finished up the welding on the bed. You can’t imagine how much of a relief that is. This is all I have for pics today.

Didn’t get quite as far as I hoped today, but I got a late start and had a lot of distractions. Started off the day with 6 or 7 random charges on our checking account so obviously that was a priority over the truck. lol After that I was able to slowly ramp up into full speed for a few hours.

To start with... I had to build a brace/crossmember for the top of the frame between the shackle hangers. I spaced this off until today but it was pretty simple. Took a piece of 1x2 and some big allen head bolts that may or may not have ended up in my lunch box when I worked at the mine. Should work....

Then I wire wheeled the frame rails and springs so I could hit them with some of this stuff.

Here is before and after...

Then it was time to take care of some cleaning around the garage which led to this... My vice has been missing some pieces for about ten years so I permanently attached them. Not the greater material to weld but it worked.

Going to give the frame a coat of undercoating tomorrow and maybe run my fuel lines.
