Zim, I had a great time hangen out with you guys for a bit, The Ironmaiden is bad ass:pimp:, your attention to detail is amazing. To see it in real life on the trail was way cool.
Just you wait till you get used to your ride and that thing will go any where you point it.
I cant wait till next year, both of us will get the little bugs worked out of our new builds and kick some Moab ass!

Kert, It was cool to have you ride with me for a bit and talk Chevys, I hope to see you guys next year.

One more thing, I seen you may be looking for a seat to ride next year, You can ride with me.

thanks Dustin, much appreciated....I'm going to see how my m/c ride goes and when it puts me in town....might have something worked up with Eric too, but to early to tell right now...I'll keep it in mind though!

The standard design I said I'd get you a picture of.

That is an awesome looking wheel.

It is pretty trick I think, we're working on something else too. Kert is amazing with his machines....

finally got around to uploading what pics I could recover....I found out that I had no memory card in my GoPro...that sucks...what a dumbass!

And an ole dude at a gas station asking me a bunch of questions about the Maiden...I was in Illinois at the time I think, we musta talked for 15 minutes...he had done some wheeling in old Jeeps,Scouts, and a 70 Blazer back in his day, but he couldn't tell what the Maiden was...he was a bit surprised it had a 454 in it.

Nice pics Dave, sweet trip! Is the 3+3 getting fixed up a little at a time or are you doing a complete frame off on that too?

Neat stuff.

Who all did you guys end up wheeling with?

I did the driving clinic and Hells Revenge on Thurs, was led by Stephen from ORD, had about 6-8 of us on that run, but many others went ahead of us on the trail.
Hooked up with Blazinzuk, KGBlazer, Russell and a few others out there at one of the hottubs, it was a gathering/watching hole for entertainment. I think Kert has some video of me in one of the easy hottubs out there...I had some trouble with it too.

The CC will get driven some right away, and maybe next year I'll have a better plan for it. It will be a body off at some point, just cuz thats the way I roll:woot:

I want to try to avoid that Max, it will be strictly a tow vehicle.

Awesome pictures, its great to see the Maiden out there after following this since the beginning!

Come on man you know you want to.:D

Do you got air bags on you white 99? It sat nice pulling the Maiden.
I see you got it on the trailer a bit far back, cause of the fenders on the trailer, just wondering if you were light on the front end of the tow truck.

Epic story on the build and trip! Hands down the coolest thing I`ve read in years!

Standing O!!!!

It is real nice to see your build then see the truck in action through this thread.

Very cool, Dave.:bow::bow::bow:

It helps to keep me going on mine, that some day soon I will get to drive it again.

Thanks, it was a "balls to the wall" last few weeks on the build just to get it on the trailer, things were compromised that I will go back to correct/redesign/improve upon, and thanks again to the thrashers at my shop, and Kerts to get it working for BB11.

Max, the 99 has bags on it, and with 20# in em, and the equalizer bars on the 5th link, it drove nice. It might have been a little better with 30# in em though. I didn't play with it, simply because it caused no issue with handling or steering the tow truck. The rear tires of the Maiden were up to the rear of the fenders, and the trailer had a lot of tongue weight sitting like that. I didn't want to move it forward anymore than it is in the pics. It towed real good where it was...only issue I had was the ramps weren't able to be secured in there originally planned position....such a minor inconvenience..we used bungy's to hold them to the bumper of the Maiden.

Thats a great feeling in itself Teck, your truck is such a sweet piece, I can truly appreciate the effort and attention you've put into it. I would love to see it someday. Keep wrenchin' man.:waytogo:

I thiink out of the driveway wheelin is done...may play a little out back with it, but I need to get a few things done I've been putting off while working on the Maiden, then I'll get back to it over the winter again to finish??? it up. Next year we'll rock it.
