Just dropped it today
Filter was in place as well as the pump booster valve asst.
Any other ideas before pulling the whole thing out again ?

the manual valve also goes through all positions as it should, so that's fine.
when the transfer cases are in a gear low or high range, and the trans is in park the vehicle will hold, so I believe the transfer cases are OK?

Yeah should be. Did it work at all after you put it in? I assume you drove it on the trailer.

Yes it worked as it did before, drive it around my property a bit loaded up and headed to the dunes.
Unloaded, drive the streets a bit, then out on the dunes easy, then took a more spirited run at the hills, and I wasn’t hard on the throttle when it decided to do nothing.

I am guessing broken pump gear or stripped spline in forward drum or input hub. You could put a pressure gauge on the line pressure tap and see if anyone is home in pumpville
Sounds right.
Heath got under the truck while running and could see the converter spinning, so evidently fluid isn’t getting through the system somewhere.
I should have thrown a gauge on it before I dropped the pan

if fluid level dosnt change when engine is running then pump is not pumping fluid .
Yeah, from the high level we saw in the dunes I suspected no pump (that and no response from trans or engine while towing through gears) but the vehicle wasn't quite level.
